This Fall is the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act which creates the highest protection for public land. The National Convention celebrating this landmark legislation will take place in Albuquerque from October 15th to 19th (www.wilderness50th.org). It is our hope that you and your Bosquito will help prepare for this big event by participating in the Wilderness Festival at Civic Plaza, as well as our other Bosquitos in the Wilderness activities.
Finally it's time to show our trees to the world. We will display our Creativity Forest at the Wilderness Festival which is open to the public and should be a ton of fun. Come with your Bosquito to see the trees and prepare you own Bosque Animal Mask for Halloween. You can also pick up flyers that you can take trick-or-treating to educate your neighbors about the Bosque.
Note: The Festival is from 2 to 10PM but we'll ask Bosquitos to meet at the Sierra Club table from 2 to 4pm
