  • Rio Bravo Riverside Picnic Area 3709 Poco Loco Drive Southwest Albuquerque, NM, 87105 United States (map)

This area includes a ¼ mile trail made of crushed gravel, there is ADA parking, and ADA fishing pier for the irrigation ditch and a picnic area.  Those who want to can also explore some hard-packed dirt trails.  The purpose of this outing is to enjoy the trail but is also to see how well it works for people who use wheelchairs or other assistive devices (walkers, canes, etc.) and make recommendations to agencies on how they can improve and properly care for these trails.

We are exploring the true accessibility of the trail and will do our best to ensure its ease of use before the outing, but please do know that we may discover unexpected challenges.  If you need special assistance, please contact us before hand, but we also will have outings leaders who can help on the inclines if needed.  All are welcome on this outing.  Please send ideas and suggestions even if you can’t make it.

When: 10:00 - 12:00pm

Where: To access the Rio Bravo Riverside Picnic Area take Rio Bravo Blvd. west from Broadway. Before the bridge turn right onto Poco Loco Rd. and follow it directly west into the parking area.
