One of the main wheelchair accessible locations in the Bosque is on the West Side out of the Valle del Bosque Park. The trail goes from the Park to a viewing platform at the river, and also transects a formal trail that runs from Bridge to Central. The purpose of this outing is to enjoy the trail but is also to see how well it works for people who use wheelchairs and make recommendations to agencies on how they can improve and properly care for these trails. We are exploring the true accessibility of the trail and do our best to ensure its ease of use before the outing, but please do know that we may discover unexpected challenges. All are welcome on this outing. If you need special assistance, please contact us before hand, but we also will have outings leaders who can help on the inclines if needed. We recognize that it’s a hot time of year which why we are doing this so early but we’ll discuss best times for future outings with group. Please send ideas and suggestions if you can’t make it.
