Bosque Restoration Day

  • Tingley Drive SW and Alcalde Place SW Albuquerque, NM 87104 (map)

Join us for this all-volunteer project to restore Bosque habitat. We will be removing invasive non-native Ravenna Grass in preparation for replanting Yerba Mansa and other native plants.  This is a community event and all ages are invited to take part. Please wear long sleeves and protective shoes to avoid scratches from vegetation. Bring work gloves and shovels, if you have them. (City Open Space will provide them for anyone who does not.)

Where: Tingley Drive, South of Central.  Park in the lot at the south end of all the fishing ponds, which is .8 miles south of Central with the sign 'Bob Gerding Catch and Release Pond'. We will gather in this lot for an introductory talk and enter the Bosque together.

Bring: Water, snacks, work gloves, shovels, and wear protective clothing.
