The Bosque in Bernalillo County is the Rio Grande Valley State Park. The City of Albuquerque manages the Rio Grande Valley State Park under an agreement with the state. However, the owner of the land in the Bosque is the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District. The City is required to obtain the approval of the MRGCD for any Bosque projects. The Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District thus is an important player in what happens in the Bosque.
