South Diversion Channel hike

Come see a little-visited section of the bosque in the South Valley that has been restored by the Army Corps of Engineers.  You'll be thrilled by successful wetlands, native plants, birds, other wildlife.  If the river is in flood then you'll see how the overflow system to the restored area works.

Please join us Saturday, May 6, 8:30 am, at the end of Valley High SW, on the east side of the river.  From the intersection of Rio Bravo and Second St. SW, go south on Second 1.5 miles to Valley High SW, a little street that runs from Second to the river.  Turn right onto Valley High SW and go to the end, where we'll meet.  Easy walk, bring kids.
